Outlook 2007 - moving/copying rules from one profile to another

  1. Open Outlook 2007 and choose the Profile from which you want to copy the rules.
If Outlook 2007 doesn't give you a choice at startup, go to Start > Control Panel > Mail > Show Profile  and choose Prompt for a profile to be used.  Now re-open Outlook 2007 and you will be given the choice of which Profile you want to copy the rules from.
  2. Choose Tools > Rules and Alerts.

  3. Choose Options.

  4. Choose Export Rules.

  5. Choose a location to save the file and give it a name. Click Save.

  6. Now close and re-open Outlook 2007 and choose the Profile to which you want to copy the rules.
  7. Choose Tools > Rules and Alerts.
  8. Choose Options.
  9. Choose Import Rules.
  10. Choose the file you exported earlier. Click Open and then OK.

Now you should see the list of rules that were in the Profile that the rules were imported from.
