Limitations to Chat

Currently there are several issues and limitations to the chat service in UTmail+.

  • Chat only supports plain-text characters, and cannot display formatted text, images, or emoticons.
  • Attempting to send messages to offline users will usually result in undelivered messages going missing.
  • Ad-block browser extensions will prevent new chat sessions from launching in pop-up windows.
