Blocked Sender Lists in UTmail+

The "blocked senders" option is currently not operational in OWA. You can achieve the same results by using Inbox Rules. Inbox Rules only apply to new incoming messages.

Create a rule with specific message information preinserted:

  1. In mail view, select a message then click on the "more actions" icon (Message more actions menu)
  2. Choose create rule.
  3. Name the rule and choose the appropriate option under Do the following. To replicate the function of a Blocked senders list select Move the message to folder and set the Folder as Junk E-Mail. Click OK.
  4. Click save.
Create a rule without selecting a specific message:
  1. From the main OWA page click the Settings icon (Settings Icon) and choose Options
  2. Click Inbox Rules on the left.
  3. Click the + sign.

    Create a new rule

  4. Give the rule a name, then in the first drop-down box “When the message arrives, and:” select “It includes these words in the sender’s address”.
  5. A new window will open allowing you to specify the words you want to block. You can enter a whole domain if you want, or several phrases. Click OK.
  6. In the second dropdown box Do the Following select options as appropriate. To replicate the function of a Blocked senders list select Move the message to folder and set the Folder as Junk E-Mail.
  7. You can click More options for things like adding more actions or exceptions.
  8. Click Save.
