Norton AntiVirus for Mac OSX 10.3 and 10.4

After downloading the antivirus software from the UTORprotect website, follow these instructions to install it on your Macintosh running OS X 10.3 or 10.4 (not compatible with Snow Leopard).

Note: Before installing Symantec AntiVirus Client, uninstall any existing virus software you have on your computer.

  1. If you are prompted, choose Open With DiskImageMounter.app. If the navmac.dmg file saves directly to your desktop, double-click it. A Norton AntiVirus 10.x Corporate CD will be created and opened on your desktop.
  2. Double-click on the Norton AntiVirus installer.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. The Read Me window appears next. Click Continue.
  5. Read the licence agreement, and click Continue.
  6. A dialog box will appear to ask if you agree with the license. Click Agree.
  7. Select a destination drive (Macintosh HD) for the installation and click Continue.
  8. Click Install.
  9. Enter your computer log-in password and click OK.
  10. In the next window, click Continue Installation to confirm the installation.
  11. Click the Logout button to finish installing the software and restart the computer.
