Changing the default Sent Messages folder in Mac OS X Mail


By default, Mac OS X Mail saves a copy of your sent mail to a folder named "Sent Messages" on the server. You can change the folder by following these steps:

  1. From the list of folders that appear in the left-hand column, select the folder you wish to use as your sent mail folder so that it is highlighted.
  2. From the Mailbox menu, select Use This Mailbox For, and then select Sent from the submenu.
