Outlook 2003 or 2007 folder arrangement by Date appears wrong


If the date and/or time are not correct on your computer, arranging messages by Date will be displayed incorrectly. For example: if the date on your computer is one day behind, you may see a group of messages with today's date under Date: Tomorrow.

To check and if necesary change the date and time on your computer using Windows Vista:

  1. Click on Start and then click on Control Panel.
  2. If you have Control Panel Home selected, click on Clock, Language, and Region, and then click on Date and Time.
    If you have Classic View selected, double-click on Date and Time.
  3. Click on the Change date and time button. You may be prompted for an administrator password or confirmation.
  4. To change the month, on the calendar select the correct month by clicking on the left or right arrow. To change the date click on the correct date on the calendar.
  5. Change the time by clicking on the hour or minute or seconds, and then click the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the value.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Close the Control Panel.

To check and if necesary change the date and time on your computer using Windows XP:

  1. Click on Start and then go to Settings > Control Panel > Date and Time.
  2. Click on the Date & Time tab.
  3. To change the month, select it from the pull down menu. To change the date click on the correct date on the calendar.
  4. Change the time by clicking on the hour or minute or seconds, and then click the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the value.
  5. Click OK.
