Read Receipts allows the sender (of an email) to know (at receiver's option) whether or not a message has been read
Responding to Read Receipts
In Outlook Web Access, as the receiver, one can click on an email with a read receipt, and choose to send a read receipt by clicking 'Click here to send a receipt.' as illustrated below.
Optionally, one can choose to accept or reject all read receipts by default. To change these settings:
- Log in to OWA, click Options and choose See All Options.
- Click on Settings on the left-hand side.
- In the Read Receipts section under Mail, choose one out of three tracking options of “Ask me before sending a response”, “Always send a response” or “Never send a response”.
- Click Save.
