Clearing Browser Cookies


To correct certain issues with the UTmail+ service it may be necessary to clear the cookies and cache from your browser.

Chrome

Clear All Cookies

  1. Open the settings menu indicated by three parallel lines
  2. Select the menu option Tools
  3. Click Clear browsing data…

  4. In the “Clear browsing data” window set the top drop down to the beginning of time.
  5. Ensure that the Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data and Empty the cache are checked.
  6. Click Clear browsing data.

Clear Specific Cookies

  1. Click the settings menu Chrome menu.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click Show advanced settings at the bottom of the page.
  4. In the Privacy section, click Content settings .
  5. In the Cookies section, click All cookies and site data
  6. To delete a specific cookie, mouse over the site that issued the cookie, then click the X that appears on the right corner.

Safari

Clear All Cookies

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Select the Privacy tab.
  4. Click Remove All Website Data.

  5. Click Remove Now

Clear Specific Cookies

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select the Privacy tab.
  4. Click Details under Cookies and other website data.

  5. Select the cookie you wish to delete and click Remove.

Internet Explorer

Clear All Cookies

  1. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Select the menu option Safety.
  3. Click Delete Browsing history…

  4. Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data.
  5. Check Temporary Internet files and website files and Cookies and website data.
  6. Click Delete.

Clear Specific Cookies

  1. To clear the cookies for a particular domain, navigate to the website you want to clear cookies for.
  2. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner and choose F12 developer tools.
  3. In the Developer Tools window click Cache
  4. Click Clear cookies for domain. Click Yes to confirm.

Firefox

Clear All Cookies

  1. Click the Firefox button.
  2. Select the menu option History.
  3. Click Clear Recent History.

  4. Set the Time Range to clear to Everything.
  5. Ensure that Cookies and Cache are checked.
  6. Click Clear Now.

Clear Specific Cookies

  1. Click the Firefox button, go to the Options menu item and select Options.
  2. Click Privacy.
  3. Under History clilck remove individual cookies.

  4. In the Search: field, type the name of the site whose cookies you want to remove. The cookies that match your search will be displayed.
  5. Select the cookie(s) in the list to remove and click Remove Cookie.
