Overview of Internet/Connectivity
If you are a U of T student, faculty or staff member, you can access the Internet through the following U of T services:
Computer Access on Campus
If you do not have your own computer and would like to access the Internet, you can go to one of the many Computer Facilities on campus.
Campus Wireless Network
The University of Toronto campus wireless network (UTORcwn) allows laptop computers to connect to the campus network using wireless/radio frequency technology. Find out more about the campus wireless network including what buildings on campus have wireless access.
Wireless installation documentation
Docking Ports
Some locations on campus have 'docking ports'. These are ports where wired connections where authentication is done in an identical manner as a wireless connection. Information about docking port locationsis available on the wireless web site .
College Residences and Department Offices
Internet connections in college residences and department offices are supported by those colleges and departments. In most cases Information commons Help Desk can provide the college residences network support contact information.
Support
The Information Commons Help Desk supports connection to the Campus Networks and the Internet via the Campus Wireless Network(UTORcwn), the LAN docking ports, and the Dial-up Service (UTORdial).
