After downloading the antivirus software from the UTORprotect website, follow these instructions to install it on your Macintosh running OS X 10.5 or 10.6.

Note: Before installing Symantec AntiVirus Client, uninstall any existing virus software you have on your computer.

1. If you are prompted, choose Open With DiskImageMounter.app. If the Symantec_AntiVirus_for_Macintosh_10.2.3_EN.dmg file saves directly to your desktop, double-click it. A Symantec AntiVirus 10 CD will be created and opened on your desktop.
   
   
2. Double-click the Norton AntiVirus Installer.
   
   
   
   
3. Click Continue.
   
   
   
   
4. If you see the following notification, see the section below on installing Rosetta before continuing. If you don't see it, go on to step 5. 
   
   
   
   
5. Click Continue in the Introduction window.
   
   
   
   
6. The Read Me window appears next. Click Continue.
   
   
   
   
7. Read the licence agreement, and click Continue.
   
   
   
   
8. A dialog box will appear to ask if you agree with the license. Click Agree.
   
   
   
   
9. Select a destination drive (Macintosh HD) for the installation and click Continue.
   
   
   
   
10. Click Install.
    
    
    
    
11. Enter your computer log-in password and click OK.
    
    
12. In the next window, click Continue Installation to confirm the installation.
    
    
    
    
13. You will see a progress bar. When it's finished, click the Logout button to finish installing the software. You will then be prompted to log back in to your computer.
    
    
    
    
14. Once you've logged in, you should launch LiveUpdate. Doing this will assure that you have the latest virus definition files. From the Symantec icon in the top right corner of your screen, choose LiveUpdate > Open LiveUpdate.
    
    
    
    
15. Click Update Everything Now.You will see a progress bar indicating the status of the updates.
    
    
    
    
    
16. Once it's finished, click Quit in the Summary window.
    
    

Install Rosetta

1. Insert the Snow Leopard installation disc.
2. Double-click the Optional Installs folder, and then double-click the Optional Installs package.
   
   
   
   
3. Click Continue to progress through the steps and Agree when you get to the License Agreement. Select the disk where you want to install Rosetta and click Continue.
   
4. Select the checkbox next to Rosetta, click Continue, and then click Install. You may need to type in your administrator password to complete the installation. When the installation is finished, click Close.
   
   
   
   
5. You can now go back and start the Antivirus installation again.
